Broward County Down Payment Assistance Program Changes

Big changes are coming to Broward County’s down payment assistance program!

It’s important to us to educate Florida residents about the opportunities that are available to them, and keep them up to date on all the latest home-buying related news.

This January, Broward county’s Down Payment Assistance program will be introducing some important changes that you need to be aware of:

• Awards are now only offered in non-entitlement cities & unincorporated Broward County

• Broward County Funds from other cities will no longer be leveraged

• All loans are now 15-year payable-on-sale loans, forgiven after 15 years of residence

• Income Categories Served are Very Low & Low for CDBG and HOME, and Moderate for SHIP

• No Grants will exceed $40,000 in value

• The sale price of eligible home purchases cannot exceed $391,154
