Members of this Task Force are made up of non-profits, faith based, government, for-profit organizations and entrepreneurs.This allows us to have a broad base of partnerships to assist in creating innovative initiatives for the Broward County community. The Task Force funds its programs through a combination of group or individual contributions, membership fees and grant writing. Non-financial support is sought from all levels of the Broward County community
If you are looking for assistance in obtaining financing as a first-time homebuyer and you qualify under CDBG, HOME, SHIP or Surtax income guidelines, you may benefit thanks to the loan program between the Broward County Public Housing and Community Development and local home mortgage lenders.
Eligible activities for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding must meet one or more of the national objectives set by HUD and benefit the low- and moderate-income persons of Broward County.
Residents who need housing assistance must first apply for public housing. Applications for public housing are available only during the periods of open registration.
